Surgical Technician (Surgical Tech) — Lowville, New York — travel assignment in a hospital setting. Start date 03/19/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed 36 hours per week on day shift. Weekly pay range: $1,786–$1,941. This assignment is temporary and involves work under supervision by an RN. Valid through 06/18/2026.

Responsibilities
- Prepare the surgical room and patient for procedures, including cleaning and inspecting the room before and after surgery
- Retrieve, organize, and prepare supplies and instrumentation required for the operative case
- Prepare the patient for surgery and assist the surgeon by passing instruments and maintaining instrument turnover during the procedure
- Perform duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Complete related tasks as assigned to support the surgical team
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of an accredited surgical technology program
- Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential issued by a nationally accredited organization; or eligible per the program’s credentialing pathway
- Experience: Either (a) one year of Surgical Technologist experience in a healthcare facility within the four years prior to January 1, 2015, or (b) graduation from an accredited program with active credentialing, or (c) successful completion of a U.S. military surgical technology training program
- License/credentialing: Active Surgical Technologist credential (CST) or eligibility to obtain one
- Ability to work in a hospital setting on a travel assignment and comply with dayshift requirements
