Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Temp - Registered Nurse (RN) - First Assist (Days) – Pittsfield, MA. Start date 04/20/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment at a Surgery Center, working 40 hours per week on a day shift. The schedule is 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday. Weekly pay ranges from $2,919 to $3,035 per week with no guaranteed hours. This assignment requires active state licensure, perioperative certification, and operating room experience as a First Assistant.

Responsibilities
- Provide intraoperative First Assist support during operative procedures, including tissue handling, exposure, hemostasis, suction, and instrument exchange
- Maintain sterile technique, position the patient properly, and assist with suctioning, retracting, and maintaining a clear operative field
- Manage counts for specimens and sponges, labeling specimens as required, and communicate with the circulating nurse and anesthesia team
- Assist with perioperative documentation and ensure accuracy of intraoperative notes in the patient record
- Prepare the operative field, ensure equipment readiness, and support the surgical team to promote patient safety and efficient workflow
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license; must be uploaded with profile
- Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (Nursing Pool) license required to staff temporary needs; must be uploaded with profile
- BSN degree from an accredited program
- CNOR certification required; BLS (American Heart Association) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of current First Assist operating room experience
- Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred
- Own vehicle required
