You will work in a hospital-based inpatient Observation Unit supporting patients with a range of acuity levels, located near the ED. This travel assignment requires adapting to a fast-paced environment and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team while providing high-quality bedside care.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult patients in the observation unit, including ongoing assessment and monitoring of vital signs, labs, and response to therapies.
- Triage and prioritize patient needs, escalating changes in condition to the appropriate team promptly.
- Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies, manage tubing, lines, and devices per policy.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the electronic health record; ensure regulatory and patient safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with ED staff, physicians, case managers, and ancillary teams to coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges; participate in handoffs and care planning.
- Maintain unit efficiency while supporting a fast-paced flow of patients with varying acuity.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting, preferably in an observation unit or ICU environment
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; TNCC preferred
- Ability to work a 2x4 night schedule and to float to other areas of competency as needed
- Willingness to work holidays as part of the assignment
