Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Collect and analyze relevant data, identify care issues, and develop a plan to achieve outcomes.
- Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery with the health care team, and promote a safe, healing environment.
- Evaluate progress toward outcomes and adjust care as needed; document care and patient response accurately.
- Educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, and facilitate continuity of care across transitions.
- Delegate tasks appropriately, supervise assigned staff, and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California) or the applicable state.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; acute care experience is advantageous.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; CPR/CPR for Health Care Providers as applicable.
- ACLS and PALS certifications required (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS and AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS).
- Minimum of two years of recent experience in the clinical area; ER/acute care experience preferred.
- Must be able to work night shifts and thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- EPIC experience preferred or demonstrated proficiency with major EMR systems.
