Responsibilities
- Provide planning, coordination, and provision of nursing care to NICU patients on assigned shifts.
- Conduct comprehensive neonate assessments, document physiological changes, and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Administer medications and monitor therapeutic responses per unit protocols.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the multidisciplinary team and advocate for the patient and family needs.
- Educate families on newborn care, discharge planning, and psychosocial considerations; support family engagement in care.
- Supervise and delegate responsibilities to ancillary personnel within scope of practice; cross-train and float to Pediatrics as required.
Requirements

- Ability to work in a NICU setting and participate in cross-training and potential float to Pediatrics.
- Demonstrated clinical competence in neonatal care and family-centered education.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to coordinate with the healthcare team.
