Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment in daily care delivery.
- Monitor patient status on telemetry, respond to changes, and adjust care plans as needed in collaboration with the care team.
- Administer medications and treatments per plan of care, document appropriately, and ensure patient safety throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Education: graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- 1+ year of RN experience in telemetry or acute care settings preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a 3x12 schedule and function effectively in an inpatient telemetry environment
