Responsibilities
- Perform MRI imaging procedures following established protocols to ensure high-quality diagnostic images
- Screen patients for MR safety, verify orders in the electronic medical record, and maintain patient comfort throughout the exam
- Position patients and coils, select appropriate imaging sequences, and adjust parameters to optimize image quality
- Administer contrast as required by protocol and monitor patients for any adverse reactions
- Maintain MR safety, equipment functionality, and adherence to infection control standards
- Coordinate with the care team to meet unit needs; no on-call responsibilities with 1–2 weekends per month, and schedule adjustments as required
Requirements
- ARRT or ARMRIT MRI license; MR advanced licensure required
- BLS certification
- Philips imaging systems experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience
- Teaching hospital experience required
