Travel Registered Nurse Acute Care Job
Geneva sits at the heart of New York’s picturesque Finger Lakes, where local hospitals blend community-centered care with advanced clinical capabilities. The city offers a welcoming, walkable downtown, excellent dining options, and access to outdoor adventures just minutes from your shift. Beyond Geneva, you’ll enjoy the opportunity to experience diverse environments across the U.S.—from coastal cities to midwestern campuses—each presenting unique patient populations, collaborative teams, and chances to refine your practice. The allure of living in a vibrant, nature-infused region while pursuing nationwide experiences makes this assignment especially compelling for ambitious acute care professionals who value balance, growth, and variety.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of inpatient care, managing complex medical and surgical patients with acuity levels that require swift assessment and decisive clinical interventions. Core responsibilities include continuous patient assessment, early recognition of clinical deterioration, administration and monitoring of medications, IV therapy, wound and ostomy care, and collaboration with physicians, pharmacists, physical therapists, social workers, and case managers. You’ll document meticulously, ensure accurate handoffs during shift changes, and participate in daily rounds to align care plans with patient goals. This position also emphasizes prevention and education—reassuring families, enabling patient self-management where possible, and guiding discharge planning to optimize outcomes. As you grow, you’ll assume increasing responsibilities, including mentoring newer nurses, leading care coordination initiatives, and contributing to evidence-based practice improvements within the unit.
Compensation for this travel nursing opportunity is competitive and designed to recognize your expertise. Weekly pay ranges from $1,948 to $2,107, with the flexibility of contract extensions based on performance and unit needs. While guaranteed hours are not guaranteed (0.0), assignments are structured to provide consistent, quality shifts that align with patient demand and your professional preferences. The package includes housing assistance to ease transition, travel accommodations, and potential bonuses that reflect your dedication and clinical impact. You’ll have access to robust support services 24/7 as you travel, ensuring you’re never alone on the road to delivering exceptional care. Additionally, you’ll find opportunities for skill advancement through specialty certifications, leadership development tracks, and structured mentorship from experienced acute care leaders who understand what it takes to excel in fast-paced hospital environments.
The company’s values center on empowering staff to advance their careers within a supportive, inclusive culture. You’ll find a commitment to ongoing education, a culture that values input from frontline nurses, and programs that promote work-life balance, resilience, and professional satisfaction. The environment is designed to nurture your clinical judgment and autonomy while providing the backup you need with dependable colleagues, supervisors, and 24/7 operational support. Whether you’re pursuing critical care certification, aiming to take on preceptor roles, or exploring unit leadership pathways, the organization actively supports your development and recognizes the crucial role you play in delivering high-quality patient care.
Ready to apply? This is a timely opportunity to join a company that prizes your expertise and champions your professional development. Start date is 04/13/2026, for a several-week assignment with the possibility of extension depending on unit needs and your career goals. If you’re driven to deliver compassionate, proficient acute care, and you’re excited about experiencing New York’s Geneva beauty while gaining broader U.S. clinical exposure, seize this chance to contribute to a forward-thinking team that values your contribution and growth.
