Responsibilities
- Prepare exam room, equipment, and contrast materials; assist the patient through the radiographic exam
- Position patients and perform radiographic procedures according to prescribed techniques to obtain diagnostic images
- Operate radiographic equipment with attention to radiation safety and document imaging details
- Utilize HIS/PACS/RIS software to manage exams and print films as needed
- Clean and disinfect the radiographic room and equipment; maintain stocked supplies
- Monitor patient during procedures and report unusual occurrences; participate in department QA activities
- Support C-Arm procedures related to spine injections/ablation as required and collaborate with nurses and providers
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program
- Licensed by the New York State Department of Health as a radiologic technologist
- ARRT certification in Radiography
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of radiology technologist experience
- Flexibility to work overtime, including evenings and weekends
- C-Arm procedure experience is preferred; environment includes spine-related injections/ablation procedures
