Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Watertown, New York. Start date May 11, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,715 to $2,847 per week with guaranteed hours of 40. Shift: 8-hour daytime shifts, five days per week (8x5), with weekend and holiday coverage and on-call as required. This assignment is in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care across pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-anesthesia care phases
- Assist surgeons and function as scrub and circulating nurse; maintain sterile technique and manage operative instrumentation
- Monitor patient status, administer medications per protocol, and document care accurately
- Ensure patient safety; assist with patient transfers and use of lifts when moving patients
- Collaborate with the OR team; demonstrate leadership when needed and may assume charge nurse duties
- Possess or develop skills in lethal dysrhythmia interpretation and respond to intraoperative emergencies
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current New York State RN license or eligible
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum one year medical/surgical experience preferred; OR experience strongly preferred
- Ability to function effectively in a high-stress environment; strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of typical OR/ASU equipment and instrumentation; willingness to participate in on-call coverage with a 30-minute response time
