Minimum 1 year RN experience required; BLS required; EPIC experience required. Orientation is provided (8 hours). No weekends, no holidays, no on-call. Pre-approved time off: 1 day noted in posting.

- EPIC EMR is in use; EPIC experience is a hard requirement

Responsibilities
- Deliver postoperative nursing care in the PACU Extended Stay for adults and geriatrics after various surgeries (ortho, neuro, GYN, general), including observation patients awaiting disposition.
- Provide MS/Telemetry nursing care with unit-based cardiac monitoring; recognize and respond to dysrhythmias; engage Rapid Response/Code teams as needed.
- Initiate and maintain IV lines, administer medications per protocol, and manage IV technologies; familiarity with heparin protocols.
- Administer oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway support as indicated; perform phlebotomy and adhere to isolation precautions/PPE.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services) to support timely disposition decisions and patient flow.
- Document care in the Epic charting system; participate in ongoing discharge planning and care coordination.

Requirements
- Active NY RN license in hand to submit
- BLS certification
- Epic EMR experience (hard requirement)
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience (post-operative experience preferred)
- Ability to work in a PACU Extended Stay / post-op recovery setting
- Geographic restriction: Candidates outside a 75-mile radius of the facility only (within 75 miles is not accepted)
