Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients in a float pool, floating to multiple Med/Surg areas as assigned.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor physiological responses, and identify and escalate changes in patient condition.
- Perform nursing assessments, develop and implement care plans, and document care in the electronic health record (EPIC) according to policy.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, communicate with physicians and family members, and provide patient and family education.
- Maintain patient safety, deliver comfort measures, manage IV therapy and wound care as appropriate, and adhere to infection control and privacy standards.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with Nursys license verification.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience.
- EPIC EMR experience required.
- Ability to float to all Med/Surg areas and work a 12-hour day shift on a 12x3 schedule.
- No time off requests (RTO) during the assignment.
- Candidate profile must include: work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days, skills checklist, references, certification card, Nursys license verification; load all demographic information into profile, including badge-appropriate photo.
