Responsibilities
- Perform general patient assessments head-to-toe, monitor for complications, and respond to changing patient needs.
- Implement radiation safety measures and support procedures within the interventional radiology setting.
- Explain procedures to patients and families, address questions, and communicate with radiologists and the care team about patient needs.
- Provide procedural sedation oversight as applicable, including for invasive procedures such as port placements/removals, CT-guided procedures, and related interventions.
- Manage line-related tasks (IV insertion, PICC/Central Line management, vascular device access) and monitor relevant devices.
- Maintain readiness for emergency situations, adapt to new environments, and participate in weekend and weeknight call rotations. Circulate as needed for OR/OBGYN procedures.

Requirements
- Active RN license (state-specific licensure as required) and eligibility to practice in the applicable setting.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Experience in interventional radiology or procedural sedation environments is preferred.
- Education: nursing degree from an approved program (including ADN or BSN).
- Skills include IV insertion, PICC/Central Line management, vascular access; telemetry interpretation, cardioversion/defibrillation; procedural sedation; and circulating in OBGYN/OR settings.
- Ability to work in a hospital/interventional radiology environment and participate in rotating shifts with weekend call.
