Travel Registered Nurse Interventional Radiology Job
Registered Nurse, Interventional Radiology – Columbia, Missouri. This travel assignment starts August 24, 2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Earn $2,422–$2,464 per week with 36 guaranteed hours. Shifts are a rotating 5x8 schedule, with weekday daytime hours (08:00–16:30) and weekend coverage with call rotation. Work setting: hospital-based Interventional Radiology service.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive head-to-toe patient assessments and recognize potential complications; communicate findings to radiologists and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide procedural sedation and monitoring for invasive procedures (e.g., port placements/removals, CT biopsies, IVC filter placements/removals, nephrostomy tubes, neurovascular interventions for stroke) and non-invasive activities (sedation for MRIs, port access/ deaccess, MRI monitoring of devices).
- Implement and uphold radiation safety measures pertinent to interventional procedures; collaborate with radiology staff and physicians to optimize patient care.
- Manage invasive lines and vascular access (IV insertion, PICC/central line management, vascular device care); assist with line-related procedures and device management.
- Monitor patient status during and after procedures, interpret basic telemetry data, and respond to emergent situations; maintain 1:1 patient ratio for procedural sedation as required.
- Circulate in OBGYN/OR-related tasks when applicable and support the procedural team during interventional cases.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to perform IV insertion and PICC/central line management; capable of vascular device access and care.
- Telemetry interpretation and basic cardiac skills including cardioversion/defibrillation (required); related knowledge for procedural support.
- Procedural sedation skills (airway management and sedation for invasive procedures); comfortable working in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with interventional radiology-focused procedures and sedation for invasive procedures; familiarity with units performing Port placements/removals, CT biopsies, IVC filters, nephrostomy tubes, and related interventions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, radiologists, and the care team; able to adapt quickly to new environments and manage multiple responsibilities across departments.
- Weekend and weeknight call rotation availability; able to participate in on-call coverage as required.
