Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ED, including triage, initial assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring.
- Administer medications per physician orders, initiate and manage IV therapy, monitor vital signs, and assist with procedures as needed.
- Interpret and respond to patient changes in condition, initiate life-saving measures (CPR/ACLS) when indicated, and ensure patient safety throughout the shift.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, radiology, nursing colleagues, and case managers; document care actions and patient progress in the electronic chart (Meditech knowledge is helpful but not required).
- Communicate clearly with patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions; provide thorough handoffs at shift change.

Requirements
- Current Washington State RN license or multi-state license with: approved 6-hour suicide training and Demographics verification from Nursys.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications.
- Emergency Department nursing experience.
- Ability to work in a hospital ER setting; eligible for night shift; RTO must be pre-approved and added to the contract, with full availability for scheduling.
