Responsibilities
- Provide coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
- Coordinate care with other disciplines and integrate multidisciplinary input into patient plans.
- Apply critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment in daily care and decisions.
- Maintain patient safety, documentation, and effective communication with patients and families.
- Collaborate with the health care team to support optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced ER setting.
