Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to mothers and newborns in the Mother Baby unit, including postpartum and newborn assessments
- Monitor vital signs, postpartum recovery, fetal status where applicable, and newborn conditions; administer prescribed medications and treatments; support lactation and pain management
- Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, case management, and ancillary staff; participate in care planning and discharge planning
- Document accurately in the designated electronic health record system; maintain infection control and patient safety standards; respond to clinical changes and emergencies

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant experience in the Mother Baby specialty
- AHA BLS certification is required; NRP is required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a 12x3 schedule; ability to travel for a travel assignment; willingness to work holidays per assignment requirements
- Competence in postpartum and newborn care, including patient education and discharge planning; ability to operate effectively within a hospital Mother Baby unit
