Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg, Rochester, NY. This travel assignment begins 05/18/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,040 to $2,147 with no guaranteed hours. Shift is 12 hours on a rotating Day/Evening/Night schedule, including every-other weekend, holidays/on-call/callback, and potential charge responsibilities per unit needs. The role focuses on telemetry patient care in an inpatient medical-surgical telemetry setting under the direction of the Nurse Manager.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to telemetry patients within the inpatient medical-surgical unit, following established standards of practice.
- Monitor telemetry data, assess vital signs, interpret results, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, administer IV therapies, and document care in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team; rotate into charge nurse duties when assigned; participate in precepting or committee activities per unit needs.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, maintain infection control practices, and provide patient and family education, including discharge planning as appropriate.
Requirements
- Active RN license in New York State
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Ability to work a rotating schedule (including days, evenings, nights), every-other weekend, holidays/on-call/callback, and adapt to unit needs
