Travel Registered Nurse Peds Job
Registered Nurse - Pediatric Cardiac Care. Location: Rochester, New York, United States. Travel assignment starting 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks in a hospital-based pediatric cardiac care setting. Work a 12-hour shift schedule with rotating days/evenings/nights, weekend blocks, and on-call/callback responsibilities. Weekly pay ranges from $2,100 to $2,126 per week. There are no guaranteed hours for the assignment. This role focuses on high-level pediatric cardiac care across infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with various congenital or acquired cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients with congenital or acquired cardiac conditions according to unit protocols and physician orders
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, manage lines and devices, and assist with procedures as directed
- Collaborate with cardiology, surgery, respiratory therapy, case management, and family services to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Assess patient status, recognize changes, respond to emergencies, and participate in on-call/Callback activities as scheduled
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record and ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and quality standards
- Support discharge planning, family education, and transition of care within the pediatric cardiac program
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York (NY RN license)
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Pediatric Cardiac Care experience required
- BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (including nights) and participate in weekend blocks and on-call/Callback
- Authorization to work in the United States and ability to travel to the assignment location as required
