Registered Nurse – PCU, travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA. Start date 08/10/2026 for 13 weeks. 36 hours per week on a 3x12 night shift. Pay range $1,917-$2,000 per week. No guaranteed minimum hours beyond scheduled shifts. This is a hospital-based unit assignment with on-site responsibilities in a travel capacity through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive nursing care for patients in the PCU/step-down unit
- Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and respond to life-threatening emergencies with appropriate interventions
- Monitor patient status, assess changes, and implement care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
- Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel in accordance with scope of practice, ensuring safe and effective care
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license
- Education: graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN)
- Experience: n/a in listing, but PCU/step-down or critical care experience preferred
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as ACLS may be preferred or required per unit policy
- Skills: ability to interpret ECG rhythms, provide emergency care, and work in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Availability to work nights (12-hour shifts) and adapt to a travel assignment schedule
