Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards and the nursing process
- Assess data, identify care issues, develop and implement a care plan, and evaluate outcomes
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide a safe, healing environment
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Educate patients and families; provide health information and learning opportunities
- Delegate appropriately and monitor care delivery across shifts
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice (Oregon) – required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – preferred
- Minimum two years of recent nursing experience in the field; acute care facility experience preferred
- Ability to work night shifts in a rural, critical access hospital setting
