Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for ICU patients using the nursing process
- Collect and analyze data, assess health status, and develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and promptly recognize and respond to changes in condition
- Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team and collaborate with patients’ families in a supportive manner
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff as needed; ensure a safe, healing environment
- Document care and outcomes in the electronic medical record (Epic) and participate in discharge planning and patient education
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in an acute care setting
- BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification from an approved vendor required
- Epic EMR experience required
- BSN preferred; ability to work night shifts and participate in a travel assignment
