Responsibilities
- Perform initial assessment, triage, and ongoing monitoring of patients presenting to the emergency department
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, wound care, and basic procedures as trained
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and ancillary staff to develop and adjust patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR; ensure continuity of care during handoffs
- Respond to emergencies and provide support during Code Blue events or other critical situations
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and comfort, while delivering patient and family education as appropriate
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Arizona
- ER nursing experience; prior travel ER experience strongly preferred
- Flu vaccine required
- Availability to work 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts with call
- EMR experience: Meditech 6.0 preferred
- RTO: No more than 3 days may be requested per 13-week contract; 100-mile radius policy applies
