L&D - Nurse Lead in Lodi, California. This travel RN opportunity is in a short term acute care setting with Labor & Delivery coverage. Start date: 04/13/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay ranges from $2,247 to $2,374 per week. Shift is night, with a 7:00 PM–7:30 AM schedule and a typical 36–48 hours per week workload. The role involves rotating through postpartum units where couplet care (moms and babies) is practiced.

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and clinical supervision on the Labor & Delivery unit, supporting a patient-centered care model
- Oversee intrapartum and postpartum care for obstetric patients and newborns; monitor maternal and fetal status
- Coordinate patient flow, safety protocols, and timely handoffs with the obstetric team
- Rotate through Post-Partum with couplet care, supporting mothers and babies across units as needed
- Uphold evidence-based practice, including BLS and NRP standards; mentor junior staff and students as appropriate
- Document care, manage admissions/discharges, and participate in unit rounds and shift communications
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (California) or eligibility to practice as an RN in the state
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Ability to work night shift with 36–48 hours per week schedule
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced L&D/postpartum environment and rotating through postpartum care
