Travel Registered Nurse Tele Job
Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Tele) travel assignment in Olathe, Kansas. Start date 08/09/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay range $1,974–$2,131. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital with a telemetry unit.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for telemetry patients, including continuous rhythm monitoring, interpretation of alarms, and rapid response to changes in status.
- Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders, including cardiac drips (e.g., Heparin, Lasix, Cardizem) and initiation of Tikosyn/Sotalol when appropriate.
- Collaborate with the health care team to develop and update individualized care plans; document accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
- Perform routine assessments, ensure patient and family education, and maintain safety, infection prevention, and device management standards.
- Coordinate patient transitions within the unit and to adjacent acute care services as needed; participate in unit-wide orientation and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Willingness to float to all acute care units as needed per facility policies.
Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry experience; 2–5 years preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity telemetry environment and to float to all acute care units
- Education: RN degree from an accredited program
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR or similar systems; must complete credentialing steps promptly

- Orientation sequence: two days at a regional campus, then Olathe orientation with Director of Nursing training, followed by Olathe DON training; Day 5 includes virtual Epic training
- Credentialing requirements: CBC, DS, and lab work completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
- Bi-weekly pay period
