Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult and older adult patients on a 32-bed med/surg unit, including trauma patients.
- Administer medications and infusions as ordered, monitor for adverse reactions, and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Manage telemetry monitoring, IV therapies, wound care, and routine assessments per unit protocol.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and discharge planning.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record and maintain clinical checklists as required.
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to unit policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Documented medical-surgical and telemetry experience; trauma patient care is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced 32-bed adult/older adult med/surg unit, with 12-hour shifts
- Education: Nursing degree from an accredited program (ASN/BSN acceptable)
- Experience with med/surg and telemetry care; Epic EMR experience preferred
- Must be able to load demographic information and a badge-appropriate photo during onboarding
