Travel Physical Therapist Job
Physical Therapist – Valdez, Alaska, US. Travel assignment starting 06/22/2026 for a weeks-based temporary role in an outpatient-focused setting with some inpatient and SNF coverage. Weekly pay range: $2,181–$2,355 per week. Guaranteed hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks. Shift: 5x8 Days. First-time travelers accepted; locals not accepted (permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility). Electronic charting experience required; eligibility includes valid or pending Alaska license.

Responsibilities
- Perform PT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for outpatient clients with some inpatient/SNF cases
- Deliver orthopedic post-operative rehab (hip, knee, shoulder, spine) and provide neuro rehab (stroke, TBI, SCI, Parkinson’s, MS)
- Implement therapeutic interventions, manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training
- Educate patients and families, establish and supervise home exercise programs, and facilitate discharge planning
- Document progress and plan in the EMR; coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team
- Adapt care as needed when floating within the facility network and communicate goals and safety with patients
Requirements
- Active Alaska state PT license required; pending license accepted (approximately 10–12 weeks)
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
- First-time travelers accepted; locals not accepted (permanent address ≥50 miles from the facility)
- References: 2 required (covering 1 year within the last 3 years)
- Electronic charting experience required; Epic experience preferred (verify system at submission)
- Ability to work in outpatient with some inpatient and SNF coverage; able to meet 5x8 daytime schedule
- Must meet the 50-mile radius requirement from the assignment location

- Vaccination policy: COVID-19 not required; Hep B vaccination required (no titers or declinations accepted)
