Travel Physical Therapist Job
Physical Therapist travel assignment in Valdez, Alaska. Start date: 05/26/2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $2,179–$2,364 per week. Guaranteed hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for one 10-hour shift per 2 weeks). Shift: Days, 5x8. Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment for an outpatient caseload, with periodic inpatient and SNF coverage as needed
- Address post-operative orthopedic rehab (e.g., total joint replacements), spine conditions, and neurologic rehabilitation; implement balance and functional mobility training
- Develop and teach individualized home exercise programs; deliver patient and family education to support functional goals
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and adjust treatment plans; document progress in the charting system
- Treat pediatric through geriatric patients, accommodating varied rehabilitation needs and goals
- Maintain accurate and timely charting for all encounters; participate in facility charting workflows as required
Requirements
- License: Active physical therapist license in Alaska or eligible to practice; pending licenses accepted (processing may take 10–12 weeks)
- Certifications: BLS required
- Experience: Minimum 1 year; background in outpatient, acute care, and LTC/SNF settings
- Charting: Experience with any charting system; Epic may be used
- Education: Doctorate or professional degree in Physical Therapy (DPT/PT)
- Practice setting: Ability to work in outpatient and inpatient/SNF environments
- Distance from site: Locals not accepted; candidate must reside at least 50 miles from the site
- Vaccination: COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Driving: Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle within a 30-mile radius; vehicle usage restricted to local area; must maintain vehicle with a full tank
