Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
ER Registered Nurse – Travel assignment in Watertown, New York. Start date 06/15/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Weekly pay: $2,331–$2,409. Shift: Night (12-hour blocks, 2x3 Nights). Work setting: hospital emergency department. This travel role requires current NYS RN licensure, MEDITECH EMR experience, and a background in fast-paced emergency care.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ED, including rapid triage, initial assessment, and ongoing monitoring for patients with varying acuity; implement treatment plans under physician orders.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, analgesia, and other required therapies; monitor responses and document in MEDITECH EMR.
- Perform ED procedures such as wound care, basic life support, phlebotomy, and oxygen management; coordinate emergency interventions and stabilizing measures.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams; communicate with patients and families; assist with patient flow, discharge planning, and education.
- Maintain patient safety and infection control, assist with safe patient handling and movement using lifts as needed; may assume duties as a charge nurse when assigned.
Requirements
- Active NYS RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; MEDITECH EMR experience required
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Travel nursing experience required
- Ability to complete IV, medication administration, and phlebotomy certification during orientation
- Demonstrated ability to work in a high-stress ED environment and to identify and respond to life-threatening situations
