Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging examinations for adult and pediatric patients, preparing and positioning them as required.
- Operate the CT scanner, verify protocols, and adjust technique to optimize image quality while maintaining patient safety.
- Manage contrast administration following orders, including venipuncture when credentialed and permitted.
- Monitor patients during imaging, assess for adverse reactions, and communicate findings to interpreting radiologists as needed.
- Ensure accurate labeling, image storage, and compliance with ALARA radiation safety principles.
- Collaborate with the radiology team in a fast-paced environment, maintaining patient comfort and workflow efficiency.
- Demonstrate competence with Philips CT equipment and perform imaging with minimal supervision when appropriate.
Requirements
- Active radiologic technologist license in California (R.T. (R)) and ARRT CT certification (R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT) with CT)
- Fluoroscopy license in California if operating fluoroscopy equipment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- 2+ years of CT experience
- Venipuncture certification preferred
- Ability to work independently on CT procedures and be self-starting; comfortable with Philips CT equipment
- No call requirement, and available for day shift on a 5x8 schedule
