Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, including monitoring health status and performing routine nursing tasks.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following physician orders and safety protocols.
- Monitor for changes in resident conditions, respond to clinical alerts, and communicate with the supervising RN and care team.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and maintain a safe, supportive environment.
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record and participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning.
- Collaborate with licensed nurses, physicians, therapists, and other staff to deliver comprehensive resident care and ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Active LPN license in good standing (state of practice required).
- Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred.
- Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts (18:00–06:30) and commit to a 12-week travel assignment.
- Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel to the assignment location for the duration of the contract.
