Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to neuro ICU and IMCU patients, including neuro assessments, monitoring for changes in neurological status, and implementing planned care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and execute care plans; document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Manage critical care needs such as hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator support, infusion therapies, and complex meds administration; respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, maintain infection control practices, and uphold head-to-toe assessment routines and daily care plans.
- Float between ICU and stepdown units per unit needs; maintain appropriate patient ratios (ICU 1–2, stepdown 3–4) and adjust care as required.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members; escalate concerns following policy and protocol.

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in Georgia with Nursys license verification.
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience with neuro-focused practice; strong neuro ICU/IMCU background required.
- Ability to work in both ICU and stepdown environments and to float between units as needed.
- Education: RN degree from an approved nursing program.
- Candidate profile must include: resume with no gaps greater than 60 days, skills checklist, references, and a certification card on file.
- Demonstrated ability to perform accurate documentation and maintain compliance with unit standards.
