Responsibilities
- Circulate in the operating room during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and assisting the surgical team with instrumentation and equipment.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, document events, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and circulating staff.
- Assist with preoperative and postoperative patient education, positioning, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Support OR readiness and turnover: setup and breakdown of supplies, ensuring equipment is functioning, and coordinating with circulating and scrub roles as needed.
- Float to covered service areas across vascular, ortho, trauma, gen surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT cases per department needs.
- Document in the EPIC electronic medical record and ensure accurate, timely charting of intraoperative events.

Requirements
- Current New York RN license; must have NY Temporary Health Care Service Agency license/registration uploaded upfront
- 2+ years of current OR experience (Required)
- EPIC experience (Required)
- Scrub and Circulate experience (Required)
- Float experience across vascular, ortho, trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, ENT (Required)
- Travel experience (Required)
- BLS and ACLS (Required)
- Must have own vehicle (firm requirement)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program and active RN licensure in New York
- Ability to work in a high-demand OR environment with attention to patient safety and accurate documentation
