Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) in a hospital setting for a travel assignment in Clearlake, California. Start date: May 26, 2026. Assignment duration: 13 weeks. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for women from prenatal through postpartum periods and for newborns up to 28 days of life, within the labor and delivery continuum
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications as ordered, assist with labor and delivery, and manage postpartum and neonatal care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, anesthesia, lactation consultants, and pediatric staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record; maintain accuracy, safety, and up-to-date care plans
- Educate patients and families on newborn care, postpartum recovery, and discharge planning; support transition of care to outpatient or home settings
- Supervise and coordinate care with other disciplines as appropriate and referenced in unit practices
Requirements
- Current RN license to practice in the United States
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts with a 36-hour workweek in a hospital setting
- Experience in obstetric, labor & delivery, and neonatal care environments preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to coordinate with a multidisciplinary care team
- Willingness to comply with vaccination requirements and the organization’s E-Verify participation policy
