Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job
Georgia’s beauty surrounds your professional experience as you work in Cumming, a welcoming community nestled near Lake Lanier and the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge. Imagine days off spent soaking in the region’s natural splendor—breezy lakefront vistas, scenic hikes, and charming towns that celebrate Southern hospitality and a thriving arts scene. The state’s diverse landscapes offer opportunities to unwind in quiet outdoor spaces, explore historic districts, or savor farm-to-table cuisine. And while you relish the local charm, you also have the chance to participate in assignments at other locations across the U.S., expanding your clinical horizons while maintaining the supportive framework of a single employer.
Location benefits extend well beyond scenic weekends. Cumming provides a family-friendly environment with easy access to metropolitan amenities, top-rated healthcare resources, and a cost of living that supports a balanced lifestyle. The role additionally opens pathways to broader experiences through nationwide assignments, letting you experience different hospital cultures, patient populations, and care models. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of oncology practices—from solid tumor management and infusion therapies to emerging treatment protocols—while enjoying the stability of guaranteed hours and a structured benefits package. The ability to travel with ongoing access to 24/7 support ensures you never face professional or logistical challenges alone, whether you’re onboarding at a new facility or returning to a familiar unit.
In this role, you’ll own key responsibilities that are central to excellent oncology nursing care. You’ll perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer chemotherapy and supportive infusions according to protocol, monitor for adverse effects, and respond promptly to changes in patient status. You’ll participate in care planning, coordinate interprofessional rounds, and provide education to patients and families about treatment plans, symptom management, nutrition, and coping strategies. Your clinical judgment will guide pain and symptom control, infection prevention, and discharge planning. You’ll have ongoing opportunities to advance in the specialty—whether through enhanced infusion skills, palliative and survivorship care, leadership in clinical mentoring, or involvement in quality improvement initiatives. The position also emphasizes professional growth through structured onboarding, competency validation, and the potential for contract extensions, ensuring you can chart a clear path forward within oncology nursing.
The benefits package is designed to recognize your expertise and support your personal and professional well-being. In addition to competitive compensation, you may access a sign-on bonus and housing assistance to ease relocation and temporary housing during the assignment. The arrangement supports career continuity through extension opportunities that allow you to remain with the team beyond the initial term, offering stability while you broaden your clinical repertoire. You’ll be part of a company that prioritizes your success with comprehensive, around-the-clock support while you travel, including access to a dedicated clinical liaison, travel resources, and emergency assistance—so you can focus on delivering exceptional patient care with confidence.
Our company values empower you to grow, learn, and lead within a collaborative, supportive environment. You’ll be part of an organization that encourages continuous professional development, celebrates clinical excellence, and fosters mentoring and peer collaboration. The culture centers on respect, integrity, and a shared commitment to elevating patient outcomes while supporting your work-life balance. The team understands the demands of oncology care and is dedicated to providing the resources, guidance, and encouragement you need to advance your career while making a meaningful difference in every patient interaction.
