Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for surgical patients in the OR under the direction of the surgical team
- Monitor intraoperative status, vital signs, and anesthesia-related parameters; respond to changes as needed
- Maintain strict sterile technique and aseptic practices throughout procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, circulating nurses, and other OR staff to ensure patient safety
- Document nursing assessments and intraoperative events in Epic; ensure accurate and timely charting
- Recognize and escalate concerns, troubleshoot equipment issues, and assist with positioning and patient safety
Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license (in hand)
- Epic charting experience required
- Copy of applicable certifications required
- References: Minimum 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Willingness to float within the hospital or affiliate facilities; refusal to float may affect guaranteed hours
