Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy assistant services under the supervising PT, following the approved plan of care.
- Implement therapeutic exercises, functional activities, gait training, and mobility interventions.
- Monitor patient responses to treatment, document progress, and communicate changes to the supervising PT.
- Assist with data collection, measurements, and timely charting to support patient care plans.
- Maintain therapy equipment, ensure infection prevention practices, and uphold safety standards.
- Educate patients and families about home exercise programs and post-discharge expectations; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in New Hampshire.
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
- Ability to work in a long-term acute care/skilled nursing setting.
- Strong documentation and communication skills; reliable and team-oriented.
- Willingness to work a day shift and participate in a travel assignment as required.
