Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients from neonates through geriatrics according to physician orders and care plans.
- Ventilator management: setup, adjustments, weaning, and monitoring of ventilator parameters and alarm systems.
- Airway management support: intubation assist, extubation, ET tube care, tracheostomy care, suctioning.
- Pulmonary hygiene and diagnostics: ABG sampling, sputum collection, chest physiotherapy, bag-mask ventilation.
- Documentation and collaboration: EPIC charting, patient assessment, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Active New York State license in-hand and eligible to submit
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
- EPIC charting experience (hard requirement)
- Ability to float between Eastern region hospitals and work nights
