Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adolescent patients with behavioral health needs in an inpatient setting
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status, including mental health symptoms and safety concerns
- Implement and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor for adverse effects, and report changes promptly
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed; maintain patient safety and a therapeutic environment
- Document care in the electronic health record and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing with eligibility for licensure in New Hampshire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in an inpatient behavioral health setting
- Experience with adolescent behavioral health or inpatient care is preferred; not required if demonstrated competency is shown
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate with physicians, therapists, and family members
- Ability to pass routine background checks and a drug screen as part of travel assignments
