Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Administer prescribed medications and document administration accurately in patient charts.
- Monitor vital signs, assess changes in condition, and report findings to the supervising RN.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, and nutrition.
- Perform routine nursing procedures (wound care, dressing changes, specimen collection) per care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensure infection control and safety standards, and participate in care plan updates.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico (or eligible to practice in NM)
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred
- Ability to work the listed night shift (18:00–06:30) and adhere to facility policies
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Comfort working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team in a long-term care environment
