Responsibilities
- Provide coordinated nursing care for ER patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Perform triage, assessment, treatment, and ongoing monitoring for trauma and emergency patients of all ages.
- Administer medications, manage treatments, and monitor patient responses; document care accurately.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with physicians and other disciplines.
- Communicate patient status and plan of care to the care team; contribute to discharge planning and patient education as appropriate.
