Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions, documenting changes per policy
- Perform routine nursing tasks, monitor residents’ vital signs, and respond to clinical changes
- Assist with activities of daily living, comfort measures, and mobility to support resident quality of life
- Document care provided and communicate changes to the supervising RN/MD; participate in care planning
- Assist with wound care, injections, and other procedures within scope; adhere to infection control practices
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to implement and update individualized care plans
Requirements
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in Maine
- CPR/BLS certification
- Education: Practical Nursing Diploma (LPN)
- Experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing environment preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and participate in required credentialing and background review
