Responsibilities
- Provide patient care within the approved scope of practice and privileges under physician supervision.
- Perform patient assessments using age-specific principles and maintain accuracy in documentation.
- Assist radiologists with radiologic procedures and patient management; support patient flow and clinical workload.
- Prepare procedure rooms, manage equipment, and assist with inventory as needed.
- Document procedures accurately, including notes, imaging findings, and patient outcomes.
- Educate patients about procedures, obtain informed consent, and provide pre- and post-procedure instructions.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, radiation protection standards, and infection control guidelines.
- Assist with interventional radiology procedures, including fluoroscopic guidance, ultrasound guidance, and related injections where applicable.
- Support the clinical team in procedures such as biopsies (ultrasound- and CT-guided where appropriate) and other image-guided interventions.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree required in Radiologic Technology or a related field; graduate of an approved program acceptable to the New York State Education Department.
- Certifications: Current ARRT certification in Radiography; BLS required; ACLS preferred. Additional certifications in CT, Ultrasound, or Interventional Radiology (e.g., RA) are highly desirable.
- Licenses/ credentials: Graduation from an NYS-acceptable program as noted; licensure considerations will align with NYSED requirements.

- Ability to work in a hospital setting and to participate in interventional radiology procedures as part of the team.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, confidentiality of PHI, and adherence to regulatory standards.
