Responsibilities
- Provide continuous airway management and ventilator support, including ventilator and non-invasive ventilation management
- Perform a broad range of respiratory care procedures and patient assessments
- Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team; participate in CPR and emergency respiratory interventions
- Care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients; adjust therapy based on patient response and physician orders
- Document care accurately using computerized charting; manage respiratory equipment and medications as appropriate
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and equipment readiness in a high-acuity environment
Requirements
- State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License required by start date
- BLS, PALS, and ACLS required
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience; capable of caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
- Ability to work the night shift schedule (three 12-hour shifts per week)
- Must arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health clearance; Hawaii license must be active by assignment start
- RRT preferred; NRP preferred
