Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub for a variety of surgical cases, with emphasis on orthopedic and eye service lines
- Prepare the OR suite, assist anesthesia, and maintain sterile technique and patient safety during procedures
- Assist with C-section cases as needed; willingness to be trained in circulating C-sections
- Manage instrument and supplies, label specimens, and ensure accurate documentation in the patient record
- Utilize the Epic system for charting and perioperative documentation; coordinate with the OR team and anesthesia
- Provide post-operative handoff and ensure proper patient monitoring and room turnover

Requirements
- Registered Nurse with active Vermont license or license on file; role requires eligibility to practice in the state
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association); required for RNs
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; minimum 2 years in the OR specialty
- Strong OR experience in orthopedics and eye service lines; scrub experience highly preferred, circulator acceptable
- Epic experience within the past 2 years
- Ability to circulate and scrub; willingness to participate in the unit’s call schedule
- Scheduling and rotation expectations include weekend and weekday call as outlined by unit guidelines
