Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery in Salida, Colorado. Start date 05/18/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment at a critical access hospital. Weekly pay range $2,702–$2,863 per week, with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights (6:00 pm–6:00 am). This assignment is with Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Directly provide patient care for labor, delivery, and postpartum patients; monitor responses to interventions and assist with breastfeeding education as needed
- Promote maternal wellness during pregnancy and after delivery through ongoing education and counseling
- Educate mothers on newborn care and infant health
- Document all events, assessments, and education in the patient’s medical record using the electronic health record system
- Communicate patient status verbally and in writing to the physician and nursing supervisor; participate in care coordination
- Collaborate with nursery staff in mother/newborn couplet care; assist physicians with procedures as needed
- Support the nurse manager and other staff; respond to emergencies across units when possible
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment within the Labor & Delivery unit
Requirements
- Current, active Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado
- Minimum Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
- Certifications: BLS and NRP required; ACLS certification preferred
- Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant nursing experience in labor and delivery or a Family Birthing Center setting
- Ability to work in a Labor & Delivery/Family Birthing Center environment and handle the physical demands of the shift
