Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse - Med Surg in Atlanta, GA, United States. Start date 07/20/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay ranges from $1,620 to $1,679 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 2x3 Nights. This role is in a hospital setting on a high-acuity med-surg unit with a surgical/trauma patient population.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults on a high-acuity surgical/trauma med-surg unit, including monitoring, assessments, and timely intervention.
- Administer prescribed medications, manage lines and drains, and document care in the electronic health record (EPIC) with accuracy.
- Collaborate with the ED and admitting units; participate in nurse handoffs to ensure continuity of care.
- Support a patient ratio around 5:1; coordinate with phlebotomists and unit secretaries at night to maintain efficient workflow.
- Monitor for patient safety and prevent complications; respond to clinical changes and emergencies as part of the care team.
- Adhere to BLS requirements; demonstrate willingness to participate in ACLS as needed; maintain EPIC proficiency throughout the assignment.
Requirements
- Active registered nurse (RN) license in Georgia.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- EPIC EMR experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of med-surg/high-acuity or surgical/trauma RN experience.
- Current RN graduate from an accredited program (diploma/ADN/BSN acceptable).
- Ability to work night shift (12-hour shifts) with guaranteed hours; no RTO requests.
