Role Specifics and Benefits: Core responsibilities include conducting initial and ongoing speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and feeding/swallowing assessments; formulating tailored treatment plans; implementing therapy sessions with fidelity to best practice guidelines; documenting progress and participating in chart reviews; collaborating with family members, teachers, physicians, and other therapists to coordinate care; and providing caregiver training and home-based strategies to maximize carryover. You’ll also engage in professional growth by pursuing specialized interests within the SLP scope—such as AAC, pediatric feeding, dysphagia management, or voice therapy—and by participating in mentoring and evidence-based case reviews.
