Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse, Emergency Department travel assignment in Los Angeles, California. Start date: 04/27/2026. 13-week contract with a weekly pay range of $1,880–$1,928 per week. Shift is 3x12-hour days (36 hours per week). Work setting: home healthcare – hospice environment. This role involves float pool considerations; nurses assigned to a unit should clock in to the unit being worked.

Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care in a home-based hospice setting, including triage, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of patient status.
- Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and symptom management per orders; manage analgesia and comfort interventions.
- Perform thorough assessments, document findings, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team; ensure accurate handoffs.
- Collaborate with physicians, palliative care team, and home health staff to develop and update care plans; educate patients and families on care and symptom control.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and equipment management; escalate changes in condition promptly as required.
- Adhere to unit and float pool policies, including clock-in procedures for the unit being worked.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain during onboarding
- 1+ year of ER or acute care experience preferred
- Ability to work in a travel assignment and in a home healthcare – hospice setting
- Graduate of an approved nursing program; RN preparation appropriate to licensure
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills; ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
