Travel - Temporary Assignment in a rural, critical access hospital setting. The unit cares for primarily adult medical/surgical patients with occasional pediatric cases. This is not a pediatric-only assignment. You will coordinate patient care across inpatient medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric encounters within the Med/Surg service line, under the nursing process framework.

- Work setting: Rural critical access hospital in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom
- Onboarding/credentialing: Credentialing requirements coordinated with onboarding ahead of start

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for adults, with occasional pediatric patients, across a general Med/Surg unit
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the Nursing Process; document findings and care plans
- Administer medications and treatments accurately; monitor for adverse effects and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with the Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and Nursing Supervisor to coordinate care, ensure patient safety, and support staffing needs
- Support discharge planning, patient education, and referrals as part of holistic care
- Maintain infection control practices, standard precautions, and safe medication administration during night shifts

Requirements
- Licensure: Current Vermont RN or multi-state RN licensure
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS required
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of acute care experience; Meditech experience preferred
- Skills: Ability to manage care for adult and occasional pediatric patients within a Med/Surg setting, using the Nursing Process
- Additional: Flu shot required (no exceptions); able to work night shift and meet on-site credentialing and onboarding timelines
- Note: This assignment is not pediatric-only; submit RNs prepared to care for a mixed adult/pediatric population
